Adios, Mis Amigos!

We're leaving in the middle of the night for the airport! Our bags are packed and we're hoping to get a few hours worth of sleep tonight!

Just because I'm telling people we're going to Mexico does not mean you should try to rob my house. I have very nosy neighbors who watch everything and I have a giant mambo attack dog who will be starving since we'll be gone so long. He'll be hungry and a visitor would be welcome to him, I'm sure.

About 100 people will be on this trip with us. During the day we'll be building houses and doing a VBS for area children. This year we're also adding a craft for the moms who bring their kids. I pray they will be blessed!

I'm looking forward to the evenings after our work days; we'll have worship times and talent shows and time to sit and share. It truly would mean so much to me to know people are praying. Please? Here are some specific things I would love covered in prayer:

*Safety traveling- several flights, van rides over the border

*No problems crossing the border

*Health- miraculous absence of my headaches; no traveler's viruses

*Safety on the worksites

*Precious times for our friends... last year Sharon was on the trip; this year she is in heaven.

*The girls' relationships... last year Shelby and Brynne were the two who bickered the most. After their trip together; it was a marked difference. It was beautiful. I would love for this trip to bond our family closer together.

*Spiritually... I would love to have a fresh word; some intimate times with the Lord.
*Tender hearts for serving others; a heart for missions developed further in the girls.

*Recognition of how blessed we are here at home; that the realization will travel back home with us

*Blessings on those who helped support us.

*Blessings on the families who receive the houses we'll be building
