Mandisa And Me Coming To A Venue Near You

Despite the fact that my diswasher is shot, has a leak, and ruined the floor in front of it, this has already been a fabulous day.

Because I got to see my girl Mandisa! She was on Regis and Kelly this morning and she ROCKED. So far I've seen her six times thanks to the world's best invention, the DVR. I plan to hang out with her a few more times today.

I also was able to read an interview with Mandisa from Boomama this morning. It made me love Mandisa even more.

Incidently Boomama, queen of the blogging world, claims that Mandisa is HER pretend BFF. But really, she is MINE. Boomama already has other pretend BFFs, and the whole "B" in BFF is superlative, which implies there is only ONE. Therefore (I know you love my sharp debate skills), Mandisa is MINE. ALL MINE. Bwahahaha.

I wrote a while back about my obsession with Mandisa and about her book, Idol Eyes. I devoured it in a day. It is great- a neat glimpse behind the scenes of American Idol, but more than that, it gives a wonderful glimpse of Mandisa's heart. And her heart, like her skin and eyes and smile and hair and voice, is BEAUTIFUL. She loves Jesus with a passion! And THAT is why I adore her.

Why, oh why, didn't I go see Mandisa in the American Idol tour last year? I am a moron. I'm going this year, though, and will see my other favorite girl and Mandisa's real life friend Melinda. I think one day they'll both want to come to my house for a slumber party. Maybe we could all go on the road together singing. If only Queen Latifah could come, too.
